Last week, we had our Chinese midterm exam and presentations in several subjects. It was quite stressful, but fortunately, I passed everything smoothly and did very well. Over the weekend, I decided to go somewhere to relax and refresh my mind after a busy and tiring week. I enjoyed the short break—it helped me feel more relaxed and ready for the coming week.

So, I took a one-day trip from Taipei to explore Yehliu Geopark in the daytime and the Keelung Miaokou Night Market in the evening.

When I arrived at Yehliu, the weather was cloudy but not hot, which made it very comfortable to walk around. The sea breeze felt cool and fresh. I spent about four hours there, exploring the amazing rock formations created by nature. The famous Queen’s Head rock was the highlight — many people were taking photos. I also saw other interesting shapes like the “mushroom rocks” and “fairy’s shoe.” The view of the coastline was stunning, and the waves crashing against the rocks made a beautiful sound.

After visiting the geopark, I had a light seafood lunch nearby and then took a bus to Keelung City. The ride was scenic and relaxing, passing along the coast.

In the evening, I visited the Keelung Miaokou Night Market. It was the biggest night market I have ever seen! The place was full of bright lights, lively crowds, and the smell of delicious food everywhere. I tried many street foods, including Taiwanese snacks and fresh seafood, and of course, I enjoyed a cup of Taiwanese milk tea. The taste was amazing!

After eating, I walked around the market and near the harbor. The night view of the Keelung port was beautiful — full of lights reflecting on the sea. The cool night air made me feel relaxed and happy.

It was truly a wonderful day — a peaceful nature trip in the morning and a colorful, tasty night experience in the city. I felt refreshed and full of good memories.
