Taipei Medical University welcomes qualified international healthcare professionals to apply for clinical observership or professional training at its affiliated hospitals. Each placement is individually reviewed according to the applicant's professional background, learning objectives, preferred specialty, proposed training period, and the capacity of the host hospital and department.
PROGRAMME FEE
NT$20,000 per participant per month
The fee does not include accommodation, meals, living expenses, airfare, local transportation, insurance, visa-related expenses, health examinations, vaccinations, or other personal expenses.
Who May Apply
Applications are welcome from doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other qualified healthcare professionals who:
- Hold a valid healthcare professional qualification issued outside Taiwan;
- Have at least one year of professional or clinical experience;
- Have sufficient English or Chinese proficiency; and
- Meet the health, vaccination and infection-control requirements of the host hospital.
Applications from Mainland China are subject to separate regulations and procedures and cannot be processed through this application channel.

The host hospital, department, programme content and training dates will be confirmed after professional review.
Important Clinical Restriction
Programmes lasting three months or less are observational only and do not include hands-on clinical practice. For programmes exceeding three months, supervised clinical activities may be considered only after approval by the host hospital and Taiwan's Ministry of Health and Welfare. Trainees may not independently perform invasive medical procedures.
Application Documents
Applicants should prepare a completed application form, passport copy, curriculum vitae, professional licence or qualification, specialist certificate where applicable, proof of at least one year of professional experience, personal statement and learning objectives, preferred training department and dates, a recent photograph, and any health or vaccination documents requested by the host hospital.
Documents issued in languages other than English or Chinese must be accompanied by an English or Chinese translation. Official certification may be required.
Application Timeline and Process
- Programmes lasting three months or less: apply at least two months before the proposed starting date.
- Programmes exceeding three months: apply at least four months before the proposed starting date.
- Submit the online application and required documents.
- TMU and the relevant affiliated hospital review the applicant's qualifications and training needs.
- The applicant is matched with an appropriate hospital, department and supervisor.
- After the hospital successfully verifies the required documents, the applicant must pay the full training fee within 30 days.
- Required government approval, visa and other formalities are completed.
- Final admission confirmation and pre-arrival information are issued.
Submission of an application and payment of the training fee do not constitute final approval. Applicants should not make non-refundable travel arrangements before receiving final confirmation.
Amendment, Cancellation and Refund Policy
- A request to amend the training start date or submitted information may be made once only if submitted more than one year before the scheduled training start date.
- No amendments will be accepted within one year prior to the scheduled training start date.
- If the trainee cancels after payment, 30% of the total training fee will be deducted as an administrative handling fee. The remaining balance will be refunded.
- If the application is ultimately not approved after payment, 30% of the total training fee will be deducted as an administrative handling fee. The remaining balance will be refunded.
Certificate
Participants who complete the approved programme, attendance requirements, assessments and departure procedures may receive a certificate of completion or clinical observership certificate, depending on the nature of the programme.
國際醫護專業人員臨床觀摩及培訓計畫
走進北醫體系,開展國際臨床學習與專業交流。
臺北醫學大學歡迎具合格專業資格的國際醫護人員,申請至北醫體系附屬醫院進行臨床觀摩或專業培訓。每件申請將依申請人的專業背景、學習目標、申請科別、預計期間,以及附屬醫院與相關部門的接收量能進行個別審核及安排。
培訓費用
每位學員每月新臺幣20,000元
培訓費不包含住宿、膳食、生活費、機票、當地交通、保險、簽證費用、健康檢查、疫苗接種及其他個人支出。
申請對象
本計畫接受外國醫師、護理師、藥師及其他持有相關專業資格的醫護人員申請。申請人須持有臺灣以外地區核發的有效醫護專業資格、具至少一年醫療或臨床工作經驗、具備足以參與培訓的英文或中文溝通能力,並符合接收醫院的健康、疫苗及感染管制要求。
中國大陸地區申請人另有法規及申請程序,不適用本申請管道。
培訓內容
- 臨床觀摩、病例討論及臨床會議
- 跨專業團隊會議與部門教學活動
- 專業講座、研討會及客製化機構團體培訓
- 依法核准後得安排的督導式臨床培訓
實際接收醫院、培訓科別、內容及日期,須以專業審核結果及正式通知為準。
重要臨床限制
培訓期間三個月以下者僅限臨床觀摩,不包含任何臨床實務操作。培訓期間超過三個月者,僅於接收醫院及臺灣衛生福利部核准後,始可能安排由合格醫事人員現場督導的臨床活動。學員不得獨立執行侵入性醫療行為。
申請文件
申請人應備妥申請表、護照副本、個人履歷、醫護專業執照或資格證明、專科證明(如適用)、至少一年工作經驗證明、個人陳述與學習目標、申請科別與預計日期、近期證件照片,以及接收醫院要求的健康或疫苗文件。
非中文或英文文件須檢附中文或英文翻譯本;部分文件可能須經官方認證。
申請時間與流程
- 培訓期間三個月以下:應於預計開始日前至少兩個月提出申請。
- 培訓期間超過三個月:應於預計開始日前至少四個月提出申請。
- 線上填寫申請資料並上傳所需文件。
- 由臺北醫學大學及相關附屬醫院審查資格與培訓需求。
- 依專業需求媒合適當的附屬醫院、科別及指導人員。
- 醫院完成文件查核後,通知申請人於30日內繳清全額培訓費。
- 完成主管機關核准、簽證及其他必要程序。
- 核發正式錄取及報到通知。
提交申請及完成繳費均不代表最終核准。收到正式確認前,請勿預訂不可退款的交通或住宿。
變更、取消及退款規定
- 培訓開始日前超過一年提出申請者,如需變更開始日期或已提交資料,最多得申請變更一次。
- 培訓開始日前一年內,不接受更改培訓開始日期或任何已提交的申請資料。
- 完成繳費後,如學員自行取消培訓,將扣除培訓費總額30%作為行政處理費,餘額退還。
- 完成繳費後,如申請最終未獲核准,將扣除培訓費總額30%作為行政處理費,餘額退還。
完訓證明
完成核准的培訓內容、出席要求、評核及離院程序者,得依實際培訓性質獲發結業證書或臨床觀摩證明。
